NinjaOne Brand Refresh

NinjaOne hired my agency to revitalize and refresh their branding, which was outdated and disjointed from their brand narrative. Working alongside my agency’s Content team, the process began with research, where we identified trends, gaps and visual opportunities to guide a refreshed brand approach. We gathered competitor visual examples, analyzed design patterns, studied execution and identified strengths and weaknesses. We were then able to move onto the next phase of the project — moodboard direction.

Moodboard A: Flowing Connection

We’ll create a connection to the customer journey through the use of repetition, pattern, shapes, and motion. We’ll implement bold typography and color with gradients and textures to drive more attention and user focus.

Moodboard B: Sharp Humanity

Pulling inspiration from the NinjaOne logo — the modified stems that create sharp skews and angles help represent the technology-forwardness streamlines principles of the brand, while the soft corners and roundness of the letters as a whole speak to their friendly and human-first approach — prioritizing the user.

Concepts within Moodboard B resonated with the client best, so we moved forward with an approach that focused on the user and sharp edges. Our exploration was extensive and condensed, with many iterations and revisions taking place within a short timeframe. We produced an updated logo, color swatches, typography, iconography, and mockups including landing pages, reports, social media graphics, event booths,
and merch.

The end result exceeded client expectations and married their desired aesthetic with our comprehensive research and the brand narrative as a whole.
